3rd October 2017, 7.30pm
Suffolk based playwright Suzanne Hawkes is a former member of the New Wolsey Theatre’s writing group, and has written a number of historical plays based on events and characters related to the county. Now heading up Black & White Productions, we are very excited that she is currently writing a promenade play about the life and time of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. This will be performed over several dates and locations but will take the form of a ticketed 100 minute walk which debuts at the museum on 3rd October before touring around Ipswich, Trimley and Aldeburgh, where it concludes on Sunday 8th October with a static performance in the evening.
For further details about this unique, interactive, commemorative event, as well as times and locations for the full run, please go to www.blackandwhiteproductions.org.uk.
Tickets cost £12/£10 and will be available throughout September from the Museum Box Office on 01728 832189.
Please note that this is limited to 35 people, and is not suitable for those in wheelchairs or anyone who has difficulty in walking unaided.
