9th June – 29th October 2017
We are delighted to be celebrating the life and times of one of the most illustrious and pioneering members of the Garrett Family, with an exhibition to mark the centenary of her death. This will be on display over the two museum services of the Aldeburgh Moot Hall and the Long Shop Museum.
The exhibition will be covering her life and works and will be set across the two venues. Visitors to the exhibition will be given interesting insights into her childhood, education, career as a doctor, contribution to women in public life and then her retirement in Aldeburgh, where she became the first female mayor.
Please also see www.elizabethgarrettanderson.org.uk for details of the wider 2017 commemorative programme including events and exhibitions in Aldeburgh and elsewhere. Tickets for other events are available from Snape Maltings Box Office.
