With the nights drawing in and Halloween on the horizon, come along during October Half Term for some ghoulishly good fun! Join us for a terrifying trail around the museum! Families can search high and low every day during half term, with a prize at the end. Plus keep an eye out for details of other activities during half term for families to get their hands on history in the museum.
On Wednesday 25th October, we will have experts on hand as part of National Honey Week, to help those under 12 learn all about this precious and very special local resource. Though it is produced by bees throughout the world, the flavour and type are based on the regional floral source of nectar. From 1-4pm there will be demonstrations to help understand and celebrate the honey crop by recognising the vital role of the honey bee to our environment and way of life. This session will be free with museum entry. Refreshments will also be available, along with our Under 4s area for little people to curl up and/or play in a safe and fun environment.
