Saturday 27th May 2017
10am – 4pm
Keep calm, and carry on down to the museum for a trip back in time to the 1940s! See wartime re-enactors and try your hand at being in the Home Guard, displays on life at home and abroad during the war, explore a real Morrison shelter, try your hand at a range of activities, see unique retro and military vehicles, check out some great vintage stalls and tuck into refreshments from our pop-up cafe with tea and home-made cake galore (no rations here)!
Find out what was happening at ‘the factory closest to Germany’ during the war, see engines in steam and displays from other local museums and airfields.
Visitors are welcome to don their 40’s finery and allied uniform and dance the day away to Chocks Away for Dancing, grab a drink from the Coot and Moorhen Bar on site and tap their toes to The Hop House Vintage Gramaphone DJ and performances from Tallulah Goodtimes!
