Wednesday 30th August
Join in the fun with your family at our Workshop Wednesdays and explore a variety of scientific topics through exciting experiments and interactive activities!
Our final afternoon is an exploration of how almost all substances can be classified into three states of matter – solids, liquids, and gases. Each state has different properties. Heating and cooling a substance can cause it to change state, and sometimes, it’s invisible!
There’s plenty to see at the museum to keep everyone entertained, from fascinating local history exhibits to colouring and games for younger visitors in our “Coglets Corner”. Light refreshments are available on-site during the afternoon or at a range of lovely, local outlets nearby. Or, bring your own picnic to enjoy in our wonderful garden.
13.00pm to 16.00pm. Activities suitable for children aged 5-13 (Under-fives area available in the museum). No need to book/All materials supplied. Activities may differ to those listed above.
Free parking. All activities included with normal admission price. Re-admission passes accepted for this activity – pay once return free for a year (excluding special events).
