Wednesday 12th April
This Easter, become a Scientist and go moving at the Long Shop Museum – great for families!
Join in the fun with your family at our Workshop Wednesdays and explore a variety of scientific topics through exciting experiments and interactive activities! We kick-off in the Easter holidays celebrating our “On The Move” Exhibition – the 5500 year history of the wheel!
Become a scientist for the afternoon and explore the museum while taking part on hands on activities all about movement and transport. Engineer a marble maze, race rockets, create your own engines to test in water, and much more!
Plus, look out for our exciting guests, the Tidal Margins artists, who will be leading an activity all around movement and transport. This activity is funded by Touching the Tide; visit www.touchingthetide.org.uk and www.tidalmargins.wordpress.com for more information.
There’s plenty to see at the museum to keep everyone entertained, from fascinating local history exhibits to colouring and games for younger visitors in our “Coglets Corner”. Light refreshments are available on-site during the afternoon or at a range of lovely, local outlets nearby. Or, bring your own picnic to enjoy in our wonderful garden.
