Become a scientist this summer with Workshop Wednesdays at the Long Shop Museum – great for families!
In the second of our exciting, interactive Science workshops we explore the fascinating topics of Luminous Light and Super Sound! Brighten your science knowledge and discover how light and sound are all around us through a series of exciting experiments and interactive activities! Become a scientist for the afternoon and explore crazy optical illusions, catch your own rainbow or get crafty by making a luminous light catcher! Test our singing bottle orchestra, construct your own panpipe straws or, pump up the volume and build your own super sound gun!
There’s plenty to see at the museum to keep everyone entertained, from fascinating local history exhibits to colouring and games for younger visitors in our “Coglets Corner”. Light refreshments are available on-site or at a range of lovely, local outlets nearby. Or, bring your own picnic to enjoy in our wonderful garden.
13.00pm to 16.00pm. Suitable for families/children aged 5-15. No need to book/All materials supplied. Free parking. All activities included with normal admission price.
