Museum on Tour

The Long Shop Museum is 40 years old this year!
Though the Museum is unable to open at present,
we have teamed up with the marvellous folk at
Snape Maltings and taken the Museum on Tour!

From Sunday 14th April to Saturday 11th May 2024,
you'll find a taster of the Long Shop in the Stable Block at the Maltings.
We're highlighting the family ties between the Leiston Garretts and the Aldeburgh Garretts.
Richard made the Leiston works famous for agricultural engineering,
while his brother, Newson, built Snape Maltings.
Entry to our exhibition is free (though any donations will be warmly received)
and we'll be open between 10am and 4pm daily.
So, come and enjoy the galleries, shops and cafés at the Maltings, and drop in to see us, too.

Snape Maltings is located in the village of Snape, Suffolk, 5 miles from Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast. Our address is: Snape Maltings, Snape, Suffolk, IP17 1SP
