2020 Community Pass

A fantastic money saving opportunity for local residents to get admission to the museum and all our on-site events for a whole year!

Available only to residents living in IP15, IP16 & IP17 postcode areas.

Adults: £8

Young People (17-21): £6

Children (4-16): £4

This benefit is a fantastic option for local residents, giving unlimited access to our whole range of popular on-site events for a year, for only £2 more than the normal entry fee. Benefits include free admission to the museum for 12 months including all on-site special events such as Steam Up and Final Fling.

Proof of residency at a qualifying postcode required at time of purchase.

Ticket may only be used by the person to whom it has been issued.

Pre-arranged Group Visit Discounts

Admission discounts are available for pre-arranged groups of ten or more people. Please contact us on 01728 832189 for further details.

Opening times 2020

Our 2020 season runs from 17th March until 1st November.

Please note that we are open six days a week from March to October and open on Mondays during school holidays in the open season as well as on Bank Holiday Mondays. Details below.

Tuesday – Saturday 10am 5pm
Sunday 11am 3pm
School holidays May-October (including Bank Holiday Mondays)
Monday – Saturday 10am 5pm
Sunday 11am 3pm


Last admission is at 4pm Mon – Sat and 2pm Sun.

Guide Dogs and well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome at the museum. Water bowls are available on site.

Temporary Museum Closure

Following advice from the Government and Public Health England regarding social distancing to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) the Long Shop Museum has temporarily closed until further notice

The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our top priority. We will monitor and review the closure period and update our website and social media with relevant news as and when we have it.

All our events, bookings and activities have been postponed or cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience and ask you to please bear with us as we work through this difficult time.
