It’s time to start our 2020 events season with a bang! On Sunday 29th March, we will be having our first event of the year, Steam Up!

From 10am to 4pm there will be plenty of fun for the whole family, with both our own and visiting traction engines in steam, stalls to browse and much more!

There will also be activities for the little ones, such as the chance to decorate a t-shirt with many fantastic colours and designs! Shirt provided, one size only. Children will have a blast at this event discovering all of our displays and seeing the machines in action, which you don’t get on a normal open day!

Our BBQ will be open serving hot lunches for everyone during the day, as well as our tea room serving teas, coffees and squash alongside sweet & savoury treats should you fancy it!

Event prices are as follows:

Adults £8

Young Adults (17-21) £6

Children (4-16) £4

Under 4s & Community Passes Free!

Temporary Museum Closure

Following advice from the Government and Public Health England regarding social distancing to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) the Long Shop Museum has temporarily closed until further notice

The health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our top priority. We will monitor and review the closure period and update our website and social media with relevant news as and when we have it.

All our events, bookings and activities have been postponed or cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience and ask you to please bear with us as we work through this difficult time.
